B-Styrocon System

B-Styrocon is a lightweight and durable sandwich panel. With great ease of installation, B-Styrocon is designed to provide high efficiency in work productivity while at the same time, not overlooking the functionalities such as impact and moisture resistance that are essential in walls. These functionalities also make it suitable to be used in a variety of applications such as internal, external, industrial and wet areas.

B-Styrocon is a mixture of Portland cement, polystrene beads, sand, water and special additives. The mixture is then sandwiched between 2 James Hardie fibre cement sheets. The Expanded Polystrene Beads (EPS) reduce the overall weight of the panel, allowing a lightweight but durable panel. The pre-finish surface of the fibre cement sheets makes it a more efficient installation system. The B-Styrocon comes in a tongue and groove system and secured with the zincalumed coated B-Profiles. It is also ideal for internal and external applications due to its water and fire performances.

It is suitable for Prefabricated Bathroom Units (PBUs) construction and has been tested for Appendix D: Test reports for lightweight concrete panels used as wall and floor of PBUs as part of BCA's requirement.
